Ray McClaren Bishop

Completed 43 years employment with the federal government when I retired August 3, 2018 after serving as the Acting Director Regional Operations for the Office of Grants Management, Administration for Children and Families, Department of Health and Human Services, Washington, D.C.
Although retired from federal service, I still teach American Government at El Centro College in Dallas.
Linda and I now have three grandchildren and a fourth on the way. We spend our time with the grandkids and our two sweet boxer-mix blacks dogs, Hicks and Ripley.

I played cornet in the Richardson High School Golded Eagle band (first chair my senior year) and was a fairly good cornet player, but I couldn't march worth a darn! Band Director Mr. Joseph Frank repeatedly singled me out during marching practice via a bullhorn up in the stands letting the whole world know that I "was marching with only one heel coming up sharply (like a one-legged cornet player would march!)." It was embarrassing at the time but I get a good laugh out of it still.
