My folks, brother Mark and I moved to Richardson just in time for me to start the 6th grade at Dover Elementary… 1959…yikes! Then on to Richardson High School …back then we had 7 – 12 grades in the same set of buildings…remember?

Denise Moyer and I met at a party at Phyllis Green’s house… I had snuck my mom’s car out, picked up Paul Helm and gone out cruzin… Paul insisted on stopping at Phyllis’ place where I met Denise , and dang, 49 years later we are still dating!

I started at North Texas the summer of 1966 and In February of 1967 enlisted in the Army. I qualified for and graduated from the Infantry School at Ft. Benning, GA and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant. Did a tour in beautiful, sunny South Vietnam with a side trip to the Army Hospital at Camp Zama Japan and then back to Vietnam. Best part of THAT experience was spending my last six months of active duty in Hawaii! I called Denise (we were engaged at that time) and suggested that we get married, which we did and spent five months in the islands.

Returning to Texas, Denise finished her degree, and started teaching. I finished mine, taught High School in Lewisville, TX for three years and then into sales, sales management and training with a number of companies over the next 20 years. Picked up a Master’s in Human Resource Development, a couple of VP titles here and there and am still in the workforce as a Director of Business Development for a technology support company.

A turning point in our lives happened in 1980, when we both attended a weekend event (actually an AMWAY rally…yes, we did that, too! LOL) and on Sunday the main speaker moved from business discussion to sharing his faith, and actually made an alter call… unknown to the other, Denise and I both responded, and gave our hearts to Jesus. Among other blessings, it saved our family and our marriage… it was absolutely, the best decision I ever made.

Denise and I have two terrific children, Morgan (who lives in Tyler) and Julie, son in law Rob and four energetic grandsons, who live in Austin.

Anyone remember going dancing at The Pit in Ft. Worth?

Or how about Luann's on Greenville?

Or the Studio Club?

Happy Birthday Week Greg!

Happy Birthday Bob!... well to be accurate ... Happy Birthday on the 30th. LOL... Still hope that you have a great day when it rolls around. Be sure to add a couple of adult beverages to smooth the rough edges of turning 71... which means that you are now closer to the big 8-0 than to 60. Sigh. Denise wishes you a Happy Birthday, too. One of the neatest things about the reunion was how they set up the tables for Saturday night! Other than sitting across from Neary, it was a great mix of people to get to know again or in the case of spouses, for the first time. Gotta say Bealle, Denise went on and on about how much fun she had talking with you. Seriously, when you are in the Tyler area ... or within a short drive, give us a heads up and we will plan something fun. David

Greg... Denise and I really enjoyed reconnecting. Wish we had more time ... Since you have other relatives/friends in the E TX area, you and Ginger have even more excuses to come to Tyler. Give us a call and we can do dinner!

Pete, it was such a treat reconnecting with you and Judy at the reunion. If you get itchy feet, give us a call and come out to low stress, beautiful East Texas for a weekend!

Denise and I would like to add our thanks to the Reunion Committee for their over the top work and dedication! This was absolutely the best reunion yet... We even dropped in a pledge card (to fund Larry's checking account! LOL) to help prime the pump for our NEXT reunion. Great Job!

Sounds like you've had way more fun than circling the DQ trying to pick up girls! Look forward to seeing you next Saturday.

The Illusive Bob Farley (right foreground) with Denise Moyer on tip toe looking over his shoulder, Karen Schneider, in front of Bob. All at the 1966 New Year's Eve party hosted by Phyllis Greene. ANYONE ever heard from or about Bob?
