Bill Youngblood

Married my best friend Sandi Davis (Youngblood), RHS co-ed, in May, 1969 just before enrolling at UT Austin to study biology. Worked for three different pharmaceutical companies as a sales representative for most of my career. Currently working in campus technology for Plano ISD and spent the last several years on the Plano Senior High campus. Working on a high school campus has been fun and at times, very interesting!

I remember a small group of my RHS colleagues "borrowing" several local realtor's signs and putting RHS up for sale and later seeing the signs we used in one of the principal's offices.

At the end of the 1965 football season, I remember PE coach Abe Spangler stopping our PE class from exercising and marching three tough looking males to the front of the gym for us to witness a paddling. He applied his famous “boat oar” paddle in such a way that it lifted each participant several inches off the floor each time he made a swing. I would imagine that none of the three ever wept like that, before or since. Their offense? Calling coach Spangler by his first name then running away from him at one of our last home football games!
